Abdominal Blood Flow Hypovascularized Sites (HVS) Soft Tissue Compression Median Arcuate Ligament
7-14  Manual Therapy and Abdominal Blood Flow

Massage and manual therapy is often used to decrease pain and tension in the area of the low back, spine, hip muscles, including psoas and the respiratory abdominal diaphragm. Breathing exercises can also help decrease tensions in the diaphragm. The most common symptoms of decreased blood flow in the abdomen is back pain and abdominal pain right after eating. Vomiting is another common symptom.

Web Resources for Anatomy and Physiology of the Circulatory System

The internet is a great place to find information on anatomy and physiology and how it relates to Complementary and Alternative Medicine. The following are ten articles which look at compression syndromes of the circulatory system and manual therapies which can decrease the tensions and improve the quality of life for people after injury induced traumas, heart attacks, strokes and more.

Another way to access anatomy and physiology information is to Google "anatomy" .ppt Adding the .ppt will pull up power point presentations on anatomy.
