   Anemia can be associated with a number of conditions, including gluten sensitivity, iron deficiency, cadmium and arsenic toxicity and mitochondrial matrix dysfunction, oxidative stress, copper deficiency and kidney dysfunction. One of the things that stimulates erythropoiesis (red blood cell production) is the levels of oxygen in the tissues. Manual therapy, massage therapy, Qigong, and reflexology techniques which increase over all health, decrease toxicity, encourage circulation and lymphatic flow can all contribute to the recovery from anemia and blood cell dysfunction.
