6-21 Disruption of Membrnae (DOM), Loss of Membrane Integrity due to Mechanical Tension and Biochemistry Imbalances
Disruption of Membrane (DOM) is the term used in Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) to describe any loss of integrity in a membrane. The term describes a tissue or cell wall with a greater permeability than normal up to a ruptured membrane wall as in a ruptured appendix or an aneurysm. Membrane walls are meant to keep some things in and other things out. When the membrane integrity is less than ideal, fluids, toxins and other components of the body can be incorrectly placed. Within the medical system this is known as “leaky gut” or leaky vessel” syndrome..........Buy This Issue Today
