Dowser Diagnostics
Many practitioners use dowsing as a diagnostic or assessment tool. Dowsing for water or witching for water is a tradition, that has been used for many years. In dowsing for water the practitioner holds two stick, often from the water seeking willow tree, out in front of them. The sticks are parallel to each other, until they are over water, at which point the sticks cross. This is where the well is dug or water is looked for. In The Art of Dowsing, R. Webster says, “It is not like the sticks move by themselves.” (Webster, 2001). A profound statement when it is considered in relationship to diagnostics.
