Ankylosing Spondylitis and Osseous Bridging
At the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy (CSIMT) there are several levels of training in how to work with joint related dysfunctions. The education begins with Muscle Energy based courses for mobilizing joints where range of motion has been decreased by injury and other irritations.
Practitioners continue their musculoskeletal training with course work in orthopedic conditions related to inflammation, digestive dysfunctions, and circulatory issues.
Then IMT therapists delve into reflex points, autonomic nervous system related techniques and palpable motilities to address bone integrity problems and osseous bridging.
This months highlighted references include two books and an article not on Ankylosing Spondylitis but on a related topic Charcot-Marie-Tooth Syndrome.
